It works!

11/6/2013 by Phyllis K

No more cut fingers and mental hassles. What more, it's fun. We live in foot hills over an hour or so from town(s) so buy most items we need or want from internet. This baby now saves us from the very packages we longingly await. Hey, even if you live in town and knowingly subject yourself to clamped plastic with a Zip It you know you'll be way ahead of the game. Buy it. Try it. You'll like it.More > < Less

Easily opened a plastic sealed package which was like an armored tank.

Also zips through envelopes.

Arthritic hands

It cuts through so easily! Severe arthritis in my hands had made opening most packaging almost impossible.

About Zip-it

Open Sesame

No one likes a gift you can’t open. Yet those annoying plastic clam-shell packages make it nearly impossible sometimes. They’re sealed tighter than a bank vault, the hard plastic can ruin scissors, and the sharp edges left behind are an accident waiting to happen.

This holiday season, save your hands, scissors and sanity with a Zip-it Opener. It’s a battery-operated device that can cut through hard plastic packaging with no trouble at all. Just attach the Zip-it to your package, press the button and guide the rollers around like you would a can opener. Presto, your items (batteries, toys, tools, fluorescent light bulbs, whatever) are free from their plastic prison, and there are no sharp edges to worry about. Just don’t try it on a can of tomatoes; the Zip-it is intended only for cutting plastic packaging and paper envelopes.

The idea for the Zip-it came from Steve Fisher, a retired dentist who used to struggle to open plastic packages for his mother. Whenever he visited her, she had several waiting for him to open. So what does a good son do? He invents something that his mother can use safely and effectively, and his family pitched in. Steve’s oldest daughter helped design the handle, and his youngest daughter and son-in-law took on operations and distribution. After two years in design and development, their invention is making life easier for all of us, one package at a time.
