Good idea but not very sturdy

The belt clip broke the second time I used it. The strap loops don't seem much stronger.

great gift, but the marker is dried out

Gave this to my husband for Christmas as a gift, knew it would be something he would really appreciate. He liked it a lot, but we were both extremely disappointed that the marker that came with the board didn't work. Right out of the package- the marker was dry. Made what would have been a perfect gift just ok. :-/ Luckily we have whiteboard markers that he could use with the board but not what I expected.More > < Less

What a terrible product

5/11/2018 by Olga maria marie brigid

Not as described or pictured....received it in black not blue. Flimsy and unstable. Surface not taut to write on.difficult to unwind and retrack.would never purchase again. Product should be recalled and refunds provided.it is just sitting on a desk as an ornament and a reminder of being taken for a ride. Can't see ever making another purchase from you for such a misrepresentation.More > < Less

Faulty and did not meet expectations

1/8/2016 by Catherine

I was very excited to find this product as a Christmas present. When it arrived I was initially disappointed by the quality of the writing surface. In the pictures it looks much whiter and smoother than it actually is. Thankfully, we also tried out the marker which did not work at all. It seemed to be dried out. Finally, the product is much more bulky than I expected after looking at the pictures, and especially after the description that it could fit in a pocket. A standard locker size dry erase board would fit in a backpack much easier.More > < Less

This is my first purchase with Grommet and unfortunatley if this is the quality they endorse I will not be buying again. I bought two of these boards as a gift, I still gave them as a gift but I probably should of returned them. The boards are cheap and they bend (side to side) when you pull them out. The tape (cheaply made) was pealing. The marker dried out and the clip is a joke. The one you see on the picture (blue border, etc.) is not what is shipped. Wish it would of worked out.More > < Less

Zipboard Inc - Portable, Retractable Whiteboard

About Zipboard

Whiteboard To Go

Rob Budryk had his aha moment watching New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick carry a whiteboard for diagramming plays on the sidelines. Too bad it wasn’t more portable, thought Rob, who’s a coach and retired police officer. And with that thought, Rob started devising plans for a retractable whiteboard that would be rigid for writing and roll up tight for easy carrying.

The Zipboard has a sturdy, erasable writing surface when it’s extended. With the push of a button it retracts into a slim tube that you can clip on your belt, stow in a pocket, or toss in a briefcase or equipment bag. It also includes a spot for storing the black marker with an eraser.

We heard about the Zipboard from Liz Meagher, a diehard sports fan with a knack for spotting unique products. The plain white version is ideal for teachers, builders, and anyone who thinks on their feet. Rob also offers Zipboards for specific sports, including basketball, hockey, soccer, lacrosse and volleyball. Field boundaries and court lines are already drawn on the surface to make it easy for coaches to diagram plays.

Teaching, sketching, planning, collaborating—on-the-go brainstorming just got a whole lot easier.
