These are wonderful socks! This is my second order. They are very thick and plush. I wear them every day and they have held up very well. I would highly recommend them. My only caveat would be that perhaps they run a tad small. I wear a women's size 11 and ordered the Large.More > < Less

Great Socks. American Made

We've been buying these for the entire family for three years now. We love them.

Like these socks.

In comparison to the Zkano Ridge socks I also purchased, I prefer those only because they do seem to last longer before wearing a hole in the bottom. (They both last a lot longer than brand name socks.) Besides, I knew when I bought them that the Ridge are more expensive because they are intended for more abuse than the Aspire - so they both performed as good or better than I expected and I am very satisfied with both styles of these socks. As I said in my Ridge review, knowing I'm supporting a female entrepreneur, reviving her family's business, with eco-minded business practices, and paying wages to fellow Americans to manufacture the product here in this country is all bonus beyond the great product.More > < Less

Fantastic socks!

These are really great socks. The only issue I seem to have is that, if I walk around with just the socks on, they tend to rotate at the toes.at the toes. It's a minor nuisance at best, but I don't really have that problem with other socks.

I would buy a bunch more if they came in black!

ZKano - American Made Organic Cotton Socks

About Zkano

Socks that Sustain

What can we say about these simple, organic cotton socks? A lot.

These socks tell a story about their creator, Gina Locklear, who grew up among sock makers. Gina is following in the footsteps of her parents, who built a sock manufacturing company in Fort Payne, Alabama. Throughout most of the 20th century, the majority of socks made in the United States were produced in Fort Payne. Today, competition from overseas manufacturers threatens the remaining hosiery businesses in Gina's hometown. But she's bringing some life back into the local industry with a fresh approach to sock-making that incorporates Gina's passion for ecologically sensible living and green business.

Gina founded Zkano in October of 2008. She does the designing and her parents' company, called Emi-G Knitting, makes the socks (available in vivid, colored designs and basic athletic, crew and boot styles) Each pair is made from certified organic ring-spun cotton, grown without pesticides or chemicals, and finished without metal dyes. The name Zkano is derived from a Native American word that describes "a state of being good." That sentiment perfectly captures Gina's goal of creating products that are good for the environment and good for the people who wear them. Her socks cost a little more than socks manufactured overseas—because they're worth it.
