Not for the elderly so much

8/21/2015 by Linda

I bought these for my Mom who is 88 and has mobility issues and arthritis. She could not use them because to un-fasten them she had to bend and be flexible. She can't do that, so could not use them. They are fine if you are able bodied, but the elderly are going to have problems with these.More > < Less

ok i guess

I put them on my shoes, they hold most of the time, but do come undone several times during the day. I have adjusted the laces numerous times but still have the problem. Our course I do have very high arches, so perhaps that is putting pressure on them.More > < Less

difficult to lace and close

1/2/2016 by Cynthia

As a senior citizen, bending over ti tie my shoes was becoming more and more difficult, and I thought this item would be an excellent solution. When the package arrived, I looked forward with anticipation to attaching them to my shoelaces, only to find the directions as to how to do so poor, and the photos did not help at all. When I finally figured that part out, I got the magnets to clamp, but bending over to unclamp them was just as bad as having to bend over to tie the laces. Item has been returned to Grommet.More > < Less

Zubits - Magnetic Shoe Closures

About Zubits

Untied for Good

The world has been tying shoelaces for far too long, don’t you think? And they’re always coming untied. Meet Zubits, the magnetic shoe closures.

When Founder Ryan Wiens’s boys were young, he noticed that they always wore their easy Velcro shoes instead of their nice laced ones. So he came up with a solution to make shoes easier for kids and adults alike. Zubits was crowdfunded on Kickstarter in only a month.

Zubits gives you the ease of a slip-on with any laced shoe. Just lace the magnets into your shoelaces and you’re ready to go! The magnets are strong enough to hang your shoes from the fridge or over a hook, and they’ll stay in place until you step on the heel and pop them open again.

No more floppy bows or laces to trip on, and no more retying. Zubits make shoes look better, too. Notice how shoe stores display their laces tucked in and neat—rather than tied in unsightly bows? Now you can have that look all the time. Slip on those shoes, click, and go.
